Competition Teams
Competition Team News page has the latest information you need to know for the competition teams.Competition Teams are a full dance year commitment from August to June.
Only those who want to take dance to the next level and are serious about learning and improving are allowed on these teams. Emphasis will be place on important life skills of responsibility, self-dicipline, dependability, good sportsmanship, friendship and teamwork. It is a priviledge to be a part of competition teams.
Students must be age 5 or older to be on competition teams.
PLACEMENT
Placement workshops will be held in the spring to place dancer on proper team for the next school year.
COMPETITONS
Each team will compete two different dances at three different competitions chosen by the director. Students will receive awards depending on the scores that they receive by the judges.
COMMITMENT
The overall success of the team is affected by the commitment of each dancer and parent. Dancers need to be committed to be at every practice and every competition. Dancers need to come to class with good attitudes and a willingness to learn. Extra practices and performances may be required. If a dancer misses scheduled practices they may be spaced out for performances.
TRAVEL
Some traveling may be required. Some teams travel to St. George Utah for competitions at their own expense.
FEES
There are extra fees that are required for competition teams. There are due dates for these fees. If fees are not paid, students will not perform.
Costumes
Jazz costume- $30 for Child size XS-M $35 for Child size L-Adult L
Lyrical or Ballet Costume-$30 for Child size XS-M $35 for Child size L-Adult L
*Hip Hop Costume--$30 for Child size XS-M $35 for Child size L-Adult L
Nutcracker rental-$10
Pewees, Minis, Dynamite, Celebration, Extreme and Expression will need 2 costumes for competition + the Nutcracker rental for a total of $70 for child size xs-m or $80 for child size L-Adult L
*Stars, Jr. Elite, and Sr. Elite will need all 3 costumes for competition + Nutcracker rental for a total of $100 for Child size XS-M or $115 for Child size L-Adult L.
These costs are for the whole 2007-2008 season
Competitions
All Competitions are Mandatory
All Teams will be attending 4 competitions this year. 3 regional competitions and a Nationals competition. Pewees, Minis, Dynamite, Celebration, Extreme, Expression teams will be competing 2 dances at each competition. Competition Fees $ 104
Stars, Jr. Elite, and Sr. Elite will be competing 3 dances at each. Competition Fees $156

Payment Schedule for costumes and Competition fees:
Nutcracker costume rental and recital fees Due October 20th
Jazz and Lyrical costume Due November 1st
Hip hop Costume Due December 1st
Competition Fees due December 13th
You may pay these fees any time before the due date.
